A very special LHD 964 cabriolet.
You’ll be lucky to find a 964 that drives better than this………it has a great specification and well documented history.
This 964 is unlike the norm. Firstly the engine gives a little more power with a different induction (hot film) and remap, coupled to this it has a 6 speed 993 gearbox which makes a major change, plus improved suspension. If you love your driving, this will impress. These improvements have been done with no regard to cost, they look totally correct but the overall effect….very different.
On the open road is where you will really notice the difference between this and another. More power, nice ratios, great handling.
Originally supplied by Jim Ellis Porsche (now Porsche Atlanta Perimeter) in the USA in September 1990; we have the original order form which shows the first owner, a British aristocrat living in Florida.
The first owner brought the car back to the UK and registered it with DVLA in September 1995. The second owner purchased the car in October 1996 and kept it until we sold it for him in July 2015 to owner number 3. It has just returned from a 5000 mile European tour.
There is a massive file of invoices and receipts from both the USA and the UK.
All owners have taken ‘open cheque book’ approach towards the car’s care and maintenance – the work carried out in the UK alone accounts for almost £30,000 and includes a £4,800 engine rebuild, £1,600 for suspension and £7,250 gearbox upgrade. The history shows that oil changes have been carried out in between the stamps in the book.
The car is cosmetically excellent, with the only blemish of note a mark under the windscreen screen rubber which could be taken care of.
Gloss black with Cashmere beige leather and carpets, full electric black hood with matching tonneau cover.
Left hand drive UK registration, air conditioning, catalytic converter.
